Waveney District Council

Welcome to Waveney District Council

Waveney District Council is a local government district in Suffolk, named after the River Waveney that forms its north-west border.

The District Council is based in Lowestoft, the major settlement in Waveney, which is the only unparished area in the district.  The other towns in the district are Beccles, Bungay, Halesworth, and Southwold.

Waveney is the most easterly district in Britain, situated in north-east Suffolk.  In a recent survey, more than four out of five residents are satisfied with their area as a place to live.  This is above the national average.  Waveney District Council is responsible for the management and maintenance of 4,500 properties, with a range of homes for all groups and household types.
