The Housing Assessment Team at Braintree District Council is currently experiencing a high volume of new applications and calls and online messages. Due to the current volume of applications, there is a delay in processing documents and responding to queries, please refrain from requesting updates where possible. The Housing Assessment Team is working as quickly as possible to process your application and aims to respond to your calls and messages within 5 working days.

The Housing Options Triage Team are available for calls Mon, Tue & Fri between 9 am and 5 pm, and Weds & Thurs between 1 pm and 5 pm. Ask to speak to the Duty Triage Officer. Please leave a voicemail if the lines are busy and they will call you back as soon as they are able to.
